Carolina Poodle Rescue

Carolina Poodle Rescue is a no-kill/limited entry private rescue group; we believe and support the No More Homeless Pets and spay/neuter initiatives.

All animals adopted from Carolina Poodle are spayed or neutered before being placed. We provide sanctuary and rehabilitation and, when the right home comes along, rehome poodles and other needy small dogs. We maintain a waiting list of homes and most of our animals are placed from this list.

Our efforts are funded solely through adoption fees and donations. There are no paid staff - all volunteers give their time and talents because of a desire to assist dogs in need.

Coastal Poodle Rescue rehabilitates unwanted, abused and abandoned poodles and then places them in loving and responsible homes to live out their lives as cherished family members.

 What We Do

We ensure that each dog is spayed or neutered and examined by a veterinarian. They are placed in foster homes that provide love and patience to help the animals adjust before being adopted. Their stays in foster care vary from several days to several months, depending upon the dog's condition and needs.

Unlike shelter or kennel living, fostering in a home environment allows the personal evaluation of each dog for behavior and temperament issues. We learn how our dogs react to other animals, children or strangers.

  How We Do It

Coastal Poodle Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. We are 100% volunteer-based, which means overhead costs are minimal and your donation is put to direct use for the good of the dogs. We do not receive government funds. We are entirely supported by charitable donations.

We are always very busy at  Poodle Rescue with oodles of  poodles [and honorary poodles] of all shapes, sizes and colors. We do our best to accept as many owner surrenders as possible so if for any reason you have a Poodle, a Goldendoodle or a Labradoodle that you can no longer care for please contact one of us:  Madeline 1 (805) 529-7405 . Marie: 1 (805) 901-8696 . Heidi: 1 (805) 647-6432.

Cockapoo Rescue

This is a group for people interested in cockapoo rescue. If you are looking for a cockapoo to adopt, or know of a cockapoo in need of a home, please feel free to post that information here! If you have adopted a cockapoo, we would love to hear your story, and see pictures of your new friend. Another purpose of this group is to try to share ideas and suggestions, to bring about the formation of an offical cockapoo rescue organization. Please note that this group is not capable of receiving dogs to foster at this point. We do however post pictures and information about cockapoos in homes, shelters, and rescues, regularly.

All our animals are temperament tested several times by professional trainers and have the proper temperament for this kind of work. If you are interested in pet therapy (visiting nursing homes, schools, libraries, hospitals, etc.) or if you are in need of a service animal, we may be able to help. Please contact us for more information.

All our animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested and free, and have had a fecal done to ensure they don't have parasites.
